•NOTE: Due to people in different kds having different skill combinations, this guide lists a RECOMMENDED ORDER
First one indicates you should select it asap as it isn’t as impactful, while the last one indicates you should select it last, no matter what.
Essentially, the earlier skills in this list are easier to handle for lohar early on, while the later ones can be a big difference. I am not perfect, so pls do not assume this list is the best.
- Reinforced armor: Every 10sec lohar gains small shield, your normal attack dmg reduced while active
- Thrill of battle: Every 10 sec in battle, lohar increases atk and def by 10% each up to 100%
- Will of battle: When lohar reduced to 50% units, he heals 30% after 10 sec
- Ancestral will: When taking dmg that causes 10% troop loss from one source, dmg reduced by 50% (3 sec cd)
- Ancestral protection: When attacked, 10% chance to gain small shield for 5sec. while shield is active, deals extra normal atk dmg
- Armor piercing spears: All dmg increased and negates your shield effects
- Seething wrath: When attacked, 30% chance to remove your buff and increase dmg taken for 3sec
- Duelist’s breath: When attacked, 10% chance to reduce skill dmg taken and increase normal atk dmg for 3sec
- Strike of vengeance: When attacking, 10% chance to deal 500% extra normal dmg. Whenever it takes skill dmg, troops deal 300% normal atk dmg to target.
- No retreat: When lohar falls below 50%, he deals 20% extra normal atk dmg and counterattack dmg, also receives 20% less skill dmg
- Surging strike: When casting skills, lohar recovers 100 rage and increases normal atk dmg by 100% for 3 sec
- Armor of thorns: Increase lohar def and counterattack dmg
- Provoke: When attacked, 30% chance to remove debuffs on lohar and increase atk and def for 3 sec
- Wild rage: atks have 10% chance to deal extra dmg once and silence target 3 sec
- Rapid regen: When attacked, 10% chance to immediately heal 5% and heal 1% per sec for 5 sec
- Iron resolve: lohar gains 200 rage whenever attacked but you also gain 50 rage
- Combo shots: When using lethal shots, 50% chance to cast lethal shots again up to 5 times
- Malignant venom: Each atk adds 1 stack of poison to you, stacking up to 30 times. Each stack increases dmg taken from all sources by 1%
- Master of bow: Disarm troops for 2 sec (Unsure of cd or when it procs)
Commander Pairings:
For this new version, some skills have come that have severely affected the old shielding meta for those pushing top rankings. Armor piercing shields skill has effectively reduced the effectiveness of shielding from comms like hera and alex. That being said, shielding is still strong, just not what I would highly recommend rn. Imo, use a strong pair that has INSTANT PROC DMG, to end the fight quicker. Liu is basically a must for this strategy as he will increase likelihood of instant proc dmg occurring, reducing time you should be in combat and thus save more of your troops. Some good pairings are liu alex (despite new skill), scip liu, Wallace liu and gorgo liu (the smite pairings may be more highly valued as some skills reduce skill dmg taken, but few reduce smite dmg taken). Alternatively, other meta pairings such as huo nev, huo joan, nev joan, zl herman or even zl ysg are also usable if you choose not to focus on the instant proc dmg strategy.
Top placements:
If you are aiming for top10 for gh and best rewards, then here are some more basic tips to get you there. Obviously, popping an expansion is a must since your final score for placement, assuming you clear all of the levels, is determined by the percentage of your remaining troops multiplied by 10000 and added onto the points from the previous levels. However, I would not recommend 50% unless you can easily replenish it as they are extremely valuable for war OR you are in war already/preparing for war so the expansion isn’t wasted. 10% def buff item is preferred for maximum results but 5% is also fine. 5/10% atk buff item IS NOT RECOMMENDED as those pushing top ranks should not be worried about killing the boss faster at their level but PRESERVING TROOPS.
Rune preference is 10% health > 10% def > 7% atk and def > 10% atk > 7% atk and march speed (If none of these high tier runes are available, follow same principle at lower tiers of runes).
Titles focus is king (if you can) > general > duke > justice
